On June 23, 2025, the European Chamber of Commerce in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (ECCKSA) hosted a high-level webinar with BNP Paribas titled “𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀.” The session brought together regional and international experts to explore the growing role of sustainable finance in driving long-term economic growth and investment in Saudi Arabia.

•⁠ Reema Alasmari (𝗖𝗘𝗢, 𝗕𝗡𝗣 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮) – who opened the session with an overview of BNP Paribas’ presence and operations in the Kingdom, setting the context for the bank’s role in advancing sustainable finance in the region.

The session featured discussion on key themes including the GCC’s increasing role in global sustainable bond issuance, the key features of sustainable finance (importance of measurable KPIs in sustainability-linked financing), and reviewing regional case studies.

The webinar reinforced ECCKSA’s commitment to facilitating meaningful dialogue between European and Saudi stakeholders, while supporting the goals of Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative through knowledge exchange and sustainable collaboration.
